Yamaha R1 2020, Makin Cakep Sudah Euro 5

Sudah sekian lama Yamaha tidak melakukan revisi yang signifikan pada motor supersportnya, Yamaha R1, tahun ini Yamaha Jepang bersiap meluncurkan motor Yamaha R1 dengan perubahan yang cukup signifikan. Supersport yang bersiap meluncur pada Agustus 2020 (Jepang) ini sudah mengusung mesin yang lolos kualifikasi Euro 5. Dengan mengusung mesin new crossplane engine, short wheelbase chassis, dan high-tech electronics.

Sisi engine Yamaha membenahi ulang desain silinder head, kemudian fuel injector, profil camshaft dan rocker arm. Pada sisi elektronik dibenamkan modul APSG ride-by-wire system with YCC-T, Brake Control (BC) dan Engine Brake Management (EBM) dengan 7 level electronic control rider aids. Bagian suspensi hadir Ohlins tipe ERS NPX depan dan monoshock full adjustable khusus pada seri R1M. Untuk urusan si karet bundar Yamaha menawarkan ban standard Bridgestone Battlax RS11 Racing Street. Bagian yang paling menarik adalah aerodinamika dari fairing yang meningkat sebesar 5%.
